It's time to take a new route.
We believe that routing shouldn't be a messy task, leaving you looking like a snowman covered head to toe in wood chips and dust. Experience the way woodworking should be with the Festool family of plunge routers, including the highly awarded OF 1010 and OF 1400 routers. These two routers are compatible with the soon-to-be-released CMS Router Table and are guaranteed to change the way you approach routing tasks forever.

Circles, arcs, rectangles, and more.
The Festool MFS Routing template gives you yet another way to expand the functionality of your router. The MFS can enable you to easily do open field inlays, borders, cut outs and grommet openings, mortises, circles and arcs. The system can also be used to create jigs, square your MFT/3 fence and rail, guides, and is limited only by your imagination.
In this article, Gregory Paolini shares his experiences using the Festool OF 2200 router in conjunction with a CT dust extractor for solid surface work. Save time hole drilling 32mm panels.
We've featured Brice Burrell, a carpenter in the Pittsburgh area, in previous editions of SysNotes. Brice continues to find creative ways to use his Festool set up to become more efficient. As you may know, the Parallel Guides can be used with the Festool TS plunge saw and guide rail for quick, repeatable cuts. You may also be familiar with Festool's 32mm hole drilling system and LR-32 guide rail. However, recently Brice published an article on his website that showed how to combine the Festool LR 32 system with the Parallel Guides to create a jig for routing 32mm panels. The advantage of his process is that you no longer have to repeatedly align the guide rail to the panel. Panels of equal size simply slide into the jig and you're ready to rout - no clamping or set up required.

This router is outfitted with a powerful 720 watt motor and offers unique solutions with its modular horizontal and vertical bases. Of course, incredible dust extraction comes standard on all Festool power tools.

Fortunately, he got in touch with us as we had the perfect solution: the Plexiglas template routing aid (495 246). This accessory is perfectly suited for any application where you need to position the router (center or otherwise) on narrow stock. This is just one of a myriad of Festool router accessories designed specifically to make the most difficult tasks simple.

While Festool is the brand of choice for professionals throughout Europe and other parts of the world, we're still relatively new to the scene in North America. However, it hasn't taken long for trade magazines, professionals and ambitious do-it-yourselfers alike to discover why Festool is different. It's all about consistently delivering exceptional results.
