Full Unit HEPA = Full Compliance for EPA RRP

Festool Full Unit HEPA Certified Dust Extractors

Only a Full Unit Certified HEPA dust extractor meets the EPA RRP regulation guidelines, protecting you from expensive fines!

All current Festool CT Dust Extractor models, shipped to dealers as of October 2011, have been independently tested and certified to be FULL UNIT HEPA Dust Extractors. When you purchase a new Festool CT Dust Extractor, regardless of model, you will find a printed certificate in the box as well as labeling on the dust extractor documenting its Full Unit HEPA certification.

If you are a contractor or remodeler working on projects impacted by the EPA's RRP regulations, and your current vacuum only has a HEPA filter, without Full Unit HEPA Certification, then you are at risk of being cited for non-compliance with the updated requirements. Simply put, there's absolutely no substitute for Full Unit HEPA Certification when using your vacuum for EPA RRP.

Festool CT RRP Work

There's little doubt that EPA RRP inspectors will see Festool's Full Unit HEPA Certification as the standard by which all other manufacturers are measured. After all, this certification fully meets all of the requirements of the EPA RRP regulations when other manufacturers' vacuums only meet a portion of the requirements.

QR Codes

An introduction to QR Codes.

You may have noticed that, for the past year or so, Festool has been putting these weird looking codes on advertisements in magazines, posters in stores and in our catalogs. So what are they and how are they used? They are called QR (Quick Response) Codes and can be scanned by most smartphones, tablet computers and similar devices to take you to a website. This puts the information you're looking for right at your fingertips, quick and convenient.

Self-cleaning filter bags for CT MINI/MIDI

Monday, July 11, 2011 | Reader Comments | Dust Extractors | Paint

Owners of CT MINI and MIDI Dust Extractors can now enjoy the benefits of self-cleaning filter bags, a new style of bag that was introduced with the new CT 26 and 36 models. Pricing of the new bags will remain the same as the previous traditional paper bags. See your preferred Festool dealer for availability.

If you've used other dust extractors, you may have experienced the issue of fine dust particles becoming caked to the inner lining of the vacuum bag. Festool has solved this problem by creating a filter bag from a fleece material that is designed to collapse and expand as the power is cycled on the dust extractor. This causes the dust cake to break up and disperse to the bottom of the bag.
