Popcorn removal with the Planex.

Scott Montgomery is a contractor in Saskatchewan and he recently shared a couple of first person videos showing the Festool Planex Drywall Sander in action. Check out the video showing the Planex removing popcorn ceiling or a second video showing it finish sanding drywall.

He replaced his Porter Cable (PC) 7800 with the Planex and CT AutoClean. In his words over atdrywalltalk.com, a forum dedicated to the art of drywall, he says, "Ok, this sander is awesome". Here are some of Scott's other comments on using the Planex...

"This is a 9' basement and was way easier with the Festool than the PC. The ceiling was easier cause the head actually articulates so I didn't have to hold the sander over my head (I was even able to sand the ceiling without the extension after playing around with the vac and speed settings) and I was able to get in tight spots like closets with it cause of the articulating head and the length without the extension, I was able to sand this whole basement other than the points of the angles with the Planex. The AutoClean vac did what they claimed as well, no noticeable loss of suction for the whole job, and no bag!"

Why are you still sanding drywall the hard way? The Planex pays for itself in just a couple of jobs and there are many testimonials on the web to back that up. End the mess, the frustration of a less refined sanding solution, upgrade to a solution that will put more money in your pocket: the Planex and CT AutoClean.

A special thanks to Scott for sharing these great videos.

Here we get a glimpse into a forum member's Ford Transit . Organization is key to the Festool system and this is a great example. It reminds us of the videos from Ron Paulk about his rig or this recent post on our Facebook page.

Running Trim

A Kapex, UG stand with extensions and CT dust extractor in a narrow hallway running trim virtually dust-free. That's the way Barri at Blue Ridge Woodworks does it. That's working smarter.
